Happy Summer - I hope this finds you well in the wake of the pandemic. We will have news on a variety of recordings and performances in the weeks ahead - Please stay tuned!

This week we would like to announce a project conceved by the Bardin-Niskala Duo that is a celebration of diversity, while highlighting the connected human experience. Please find information/links below. Support for this project should be directed to "Music Starts From Silence (duo)".

Music Starts From Silence (duo) is a fiscally sponsored project of Brooklyn Arts Council.  Donations to Brooklyn Arts Council for Music Starts From Silence (duo) are tax deductible.

The artists:
The Bardin-Niskala Duo (cello-piano) seeks to spark conversations and build community through collaborative artistic exploration. The Duo is commissioning and touring a series of pieces which embrace the richness of distinct cultural identities through the use of folk and children’s songs, and celebrate our mutual human journeys of innocence, loss, and healing.  These pieces are the works of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color) composers Yiheng Yvonne Wu (Taiwanese), Niles Luther (half Ugandan), Juantio Becenti (Navajo Nation) and Chihchun Chi-Sun Lee (Taiwanese-American).

To Donate by CheckChecks should be made out to "Brooklyn Arts Council", with "Music Starts From Silence (duo)" in the memo line.
